Lewistown Art Center
The Lewistown Art Center (LAC) promotes and provides engaged access to the arts, arts education, and cultural experiences in Central Montana. This includes Hands on Art (a 3-day-a-week after-school program), Youth Programming in the Summer, Adult Social Nights, and cultural events like monthly gallery receptions (First Friday of the month!), Shakespeare in the Park, WinterSongs, and so much more!
The historic Lewistown Art Center, located in Lewistown, Montana, was formed 45 years ago when the Lehman Bunkhouse was joined to the Von Tobel Carriage House on the corner of 8th Avenue and Broadway, across from the Fergus County Court House. In 2009, the Art Center was relocated and can now be found on the corner of Main Street and 4th Avenue.
The Art Center is a hub of activity Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m and Saturday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Admission is always free for monthly gallery shows featuring a wide range of Montana and intermountain artists. The Gift Shop, located inside the Art Center features art and hand-crafted giftware from local and regional Montana artists consigning ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, paintings, prints, photography, books, CDs and much more.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We are always seeking volunteers to serve the cultural needs of our community! Our volunteers do archival work, maintenance, help in the classroom, work in our gift shop, and help with special events. We love helping volunteers find work that they are passionate about and on their schedule.
REQUIREMENTS AND RESTRICTIONS
We have programming and opportunities for almost everyone! Come visit us to find out the right part of our organization for you!
There is no cost to volunteer, and often volunteers receive free admission to events!
Joining the LAC as a MEMBER, however, starts at just $30 annually, and gives you access to special events, discounts, classes, and so much more! Check out membership on our website!
TIME COMMITMENT
We are currently seeking all kinds of commitments, from weekly shifts in our gift shop to bi-monthly cleaning help to one-time special events!
