31st Annual Chokecherry Festival
The 31st Annual Chokecherry Festival will take place as scheduled on Saturday, Sept. 12 (the first Saturday after Labor Day).
The event will look a little different this year, as the 155 booths will be spaced out, food vendors will be on side streets and the entertainment will take place on the courthouse lawn, but the all-day event goes on.
There will not be pit-spitting this year, but there will be arts, crafts, clothing, a car show and all things Chokecherry, as central Montana will continue to celebrate the small, marooned-colored fruit with a puckery taste.
All are invited to this family-friendly event that takes place on and around Lewistown's historic Main Street. The event has been approved by the Central Montana Health District and Fergus County Disaster and Emergency Services. There will be 20 sanitation stations spread out to help ensure public health.
