A New Year's Eve Hit List: 6 Places to Ring in 2018 with a Feast
Is your favorite part of New Year's Eve the food? Eating everything rich and wonderful before you have to return to your healthy lifestyle January 1st? To make sure you don't miss out on the bounty, we've rounded up six places in Central Montana where you can truly indulge.
1. Judith Mountain Lodge
The Judith Mountain Lodge is hosting a fireside dinner from 4 pm until 10 pm featuring slow smoked prime rib and crab as well as drink specials. There will be fireworks at 10 and a bonfire outside with extra heaters. Stick around for complimentary appetizers and champagne after the fireworks. Don’t feel like driving home after the festivities? Reserve a room and have yourself a mini getaway.

2. Tall Boys Tavern
Tall Boys has a special dinner menu for the holiday which will include fillet mignon, holiday halibut, shrimp pasta, and of course prime rib. They’ll also hold a champagne toast at midnight.

3. The Elks Club
Do you think “vegetarian” is a bad word? Then you’ll love the 3 Meat BBQ at the Elks. For $30, you get hefty servings of three different meats, sides, and an all-you-can-eat buffet. Happy hour starts at 5:30, and dinner is served from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

4. Doc’s
Docs is having a special dinner menu for the holiday featuring roasted New York loin and lobster, flat iron steak and shrimp, and chicken marsala. All entrees come with a choice of potato, veggie, and a garden salad bar. They will also have music and special spirits.
As a bonus, Doc’s is offering the same special menu Saturday night, as well as a New Year’s Eve Sunday Brunch featuring a breakfast buffet with a fresh omelet bar.

5. Harry’s Place
Harry’s is featuring prime rib and tempura shrimp, but they’ll also have their full regular menu available. A complimentary glass of champagne will be served. Dinner served from 4 pm to 9 pm.

6. Oxen Yoke Inn
The Oxen Yoke is featuring prime rib and shrimp scampi; the full menu will also be available. DJ music will be provided by Burnham Entertainment after 8 pm. Dinner served from 5 pm until it’s gone.

Bonus: Yogo Inn
After this list went live, we learned of one more place serving food worthy of your last meal in 2017 - the Yogo Inn. Though the menu is not yet finalized, they guarantee they will be serving some delightful new specials to feature along with their regular menu. Diners will also receive a free glass of champagne to ring in the new year. Busy on the 31st? You can preview the menu on the 30th.
