Bird Monitoring Training [Winnett]

Come and learn how to identify and monitor the birds in Petroleum County! Not only is birding really fun and interesting, it's also helpful for telling our story! 

Tracking and monitoring upland birds is a great way to show the health of the grasslands and educate the public that we are managing our land in ways that are beneficial for cattle, grass and wildlife.

With the class, we hope to build a larger community of trained bird observers to monitor the necessary number of survey plots to credibly document their presence.

The training includes a "field trip" to observe and identify birds!
