Bumble Bee Atlas
The Montana Bumble Bee Atlas is a community science project focused on tracking and conserving native bumble bees. We invite you to attend our Lewistown events to learn about the project and how you can become a volunteer. These events are a great opportunity to learn more about native bumble bees, and what you can do to help them.
Join us on Monday, June 16th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the National Discovery Center in Lewistown for a presentation from Xerces Society conservation biologist Michelle Toshack.
The following day, June 17th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. we'll gather in the Labyrinth Garden at Frank Day Park for a field training event. Participants will practice catching, photographing, and releasing bumble bees as part of the Bumble Bee Atlas survey protocol.
