Discovering the vast, unique landscapes under the big skies of Central Montana took hold of me years ago. I wanted to render the colors, in changing weather lights, render the lone mountain ranges, the mysterious hills, which offer subtle contrast of cool to warm hues they share with the expansive prairie, the magic burst of darkness and light in the forests...It remains a delightful, fascinating challenge, a poetic experience of mystical beauty, intensified by the wildlife and the wild birds who inhabit these lands.
After the work is done, the sharing with people completes its genuine meaning.
