Wortman Sisters
The Wortman Sisters grew up 45 miles southeast of Big Sandy on a ranch in the Upper Missouri River Breaks. With musicians on both sides of their family, back to their great grandparents, both girls naturally learned how to play an instrument (or a couple). Georgia is currently going to school at MSU Bozeman, and, recently accepted into the Dan Scott Ranch Management Program, she is majoring in Ranching Systems. This fall, Tavie (like gravy) will be going into her senior year at Big Sandy High School. The girls have been playing music together for four years, playing a variety of genres such as bluegrass, outlaw country, Texas swing, and occasionally bluesy-rock.
