Lewistown Fly-In

All the fun begins each year in June at the Lewistown Municipal Airport's Annual Fly-In. Hosted by the Central Montana Pilot's Association, the fly-in is held from 7 am to 12 noon and if free and open to the public.

Planes fly-in from around the state and are on display for the morning. A community pancake, sausage and egg breakfast is served from 7 to 11 am with a cost of $8 per person ($4 for kids 12 and under).

The Young Eagles program for children ages 8-18, provides free airplane flights for the youth, and is dependent on weather.

A drawing for a free helicopter ride for three people is offered by Central Air Services - anyone can register.

Other activities and displays may include restored vintage planes by Montana Antique Airplane Association, Border Patrol Helicopter, Experimental Planes, Smokey Bear, and much more! A Flag Ceremony and National Anthem begin the show, with an awards presentation to follow.

Pioneer Power Days

Old fashioned power is the focus of the Pioneer Power Days, held annually in June near the Lewistown Airport. The event offers the chance to experience history as it was in an early 1900's town.

Metis Celebration and PowWow

Immerse yourself in the cultural enchantment of the annual Metis Celebration and PowWow on Labor Day weekend. Celebrate the Native American cultures of Central Montana with native fiddlers, dancers, singers, and crafters throughout the United States and Canada. All converge at the Fergus County Fairgrounds; everyone is welcome.

Montana’s Longest Table

The Farm to Table movement is alive and well in Central Montana. Montana’s Longest Table is held in Lewistown every year in June and features a Montana-style dinner created from foods that can be grown in Montana.

Drag Races

One weekend each month of the summer, the Lewistown Drag Racers Association hosts a race on the oldest drag strip in Montana, Lewistown Raceway.
