Open Fiddle Contest at Montana Winter Fair
- 8:00 am - Late Registration and Warm up
- 9:00 am - Round 1 (3 required tunes)
- PeeWee- only 3 total tunes for contest
- 1:00 pm - Round 2 (3 tunes)
- 7:00 pm - Round 3 (3 tunes)
- Top five in each division
The 75th Montana Winter Fair is having an entertaining all-ages fiddle contest on January 25th, 2020. Location is the Eagles Grand Hall on Main Street.
Scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m., the younger contestants will be playing their musical selections first, followed by the older age groups during the morning. The second round will begin at 1:00 pm in the same order of play. All are playing to make the Finals round at 7:00 that evening, which will feature the top five fiddlers in each of the four age categories.
Entries are encouraged to be mailed in by January 15th or you may sign up at 8 am the morning of January 25th for the contest. Fees for entering are $15 for PeeWee (8 and under) and Jr/Jr (9 thru 12) and $20 per contestant for Junior (13-18) and Adult (19 & over) divisions. Spectators are welcome in all rounds.
